So you’ve just received your PayAnywhere storefront package and are eager to start accepting payments. Welcome to the right place! In this video we’re going to cover what’s in the box, how to set up your equipment, and how to connect your tablet to your wireless network. PayAnywhere storefront comes securely packaged and integrated with the following:
- 10” tablet
- Stand with built-in card reader
- Power cord
- Mounting kit
- Mobile credit card reader for smartphones
As you can see, the tablet already arrives incorporated into the stand. We’re first going to position the device on the counter and secure it. Locate the film on the base of the stand and remove it. Hold the base of the device and tilt the screen up to the desired position. Position the stand on your desired countertop location. Place your hand on the base cover and press down firmly to activate the suction cup. Before setting the tablet down, make sure the location is free of dust and debris. This will ensure a better suction. If you want to reposition the tablet, do not attempt to separate it from the countertop by pulling it. Instead, take a thin object, like a credit card, and slide it between the suction cup and the countertop to release the suction.
Next, we’ll connect the power cord to the base of the stand and the other end to the power supply. The power cord can remain connected or be removed once fully charged. Power up the tablet by pressing the button on the left side of the tablet frame. Once powered up, the tablet’s setting’s menu will display. In the settings menu, slide Wi-Fi to on. All available networks will display on the right side of the screen. Next, select the desired network. Now that it’s connected, the tablet will go through a registration process. When it launches for the second time, login with the email address and password that you created during the application process. For extra security, follow the onscreen prompt to create a 4-digit code. Congratulations! You’re one step closer to getting your business started!
